What was the problem that we identified?

Bitlink has ran after-school, school-holiday, game jams and young adult programs in the past; but haven't run consistent programs for a while. Bitlink wishes to run events like these again and wants to engage a broad range of young adults, allowing for a variety of people from different backgrounds to attend and get involved.

What was our solution to the problem?

Plan, organise and deliver a local Game Jam for youth aged 18 - 25, who are ideally from under-represented groups within the gaming industry. Pitch the idea to local organisations such as Working It Out to gain sponsorship/assistance to offset costs of holding the event.

Results:

Game Jam

This involved creating and deciding on the details of the event, creating marketing content, following necessary public liability procedures, creating a budget for the event, booking a location to hold the event, and applying for grants.
