Technology Skills in the Workplace will run from:

This is a 4 week program (2 days a week) for job-seekers that involves simulating a workplace environment, whilst working on a real-world project in a team.
Like many things, the value you get out of this program is going to mostly be determined by the effort you put into it.
During the program, participants will learn about a range of workplace technology skills, meet with employers and industry professionals in the ICT sector, find out about opportunities in the wider technology sector, and practice critical soft skills such as communication and teamwork. Participants will gain confidence, a strong understanding of employment and further education opportunities in the tech industry; as well as learn how to highlight their own skills for future job interviews, applications and portfolios.
Program Goals
The following are some goals that this program will be working towards during its implementation:
- Allow participants to develop and contribute to a real-world project.
- Allow participants to experience a professional working environment.
- Allow participants the opportunity for teamwork and collaborative exercises.
- Enable participants to build skills necessary for job applications & interviews.
- Enable participants to develop skills relevant to the technology industry.
- Enable participants to develop and market their abilities with confidence.
- Facilitate Q&A discussions between participants and industry professionals.

- Design Thinking & Problem Solving
- Digital Marketing & Event Management
- Product Design & Logistics
- Video Production & Video Editing
- ‘Fit for purpose’ designs and solutions
- Education Design & Working with stakeholders
- Teamwork, Time efficiency & Task accountability
