Expression of Interest

Bitlink, in partnership with Tasmanian Minerals, Manufacturing & Energy Council (TMEC), are seeking expressions of interest for their 2024 advanced manufacturing support package.

12 Tasmanian secondary schools will be selected to receive a 3-hour workshop run by the Bitlink team, which simultaneously engages students and staff in learning skills relating to the design and digital technologies curriculum areas and the advanced manufacturing sector.

In addition to receiving this workshop, each school will also receive a Bitlink IoT (Internet of Things) Classroom Kit, valued at $3,000. The Bitlink IoT Classroom Kit caters for classrooms of up to 30 students working in pairs, and features 15 kits filled with micro:bits, various sensors and outputs, online lessons, videos, slide decks and other teaching resources.

This opportunity is funded by the Department of State Growth and is available to selected schools for free-of-charge. All expressions of interest will be reviewed by a selection committee including representation from TMEC, Bitlink and DECYP, and the 12 chosen schools will have their workshops and kits delivered in the 2024 calendar year.
