Greater Launceston IoT Ideas Competition

What is the competition?
This competition is all about exploring ways in which technology can help us to lead better, safer or happier lives. Student teams (3-5 students) from your school are invited to submit a short video (3-5 minutes) in which they share their idea for an IoT solution to a problem associated with one of the following themes:
- Smart Homes
- Smart Farms
- Smart Cities
- Smart Schools
The proposed solution must include Internet of Things (IoT) technology. If students have created a prototype as part of their design process, they are encouraged to include this in their video.
When is the competition?
The competition portal will be open and accepting entries from 9am Monday September 20th to midnight Sunday November 14th.
Who is eligible to enter?
Your school is eligible to enter this competition if you are a primary school in the Greater Launceston Region and you have received a class set of Bitlink Internet of Things Kits.
What can we win?
There is a $5,000 prize pool, with cash prizes for winning schools and winning students. Prizes will be awarded across the following categories:
Schools & Student Teams:
- Best overall project
- Best overall project runner up
- Most creative
- Most sustainable
- Most accessible
